The Competitiveness of Vietnam's Rubber Export Trade

Based on an in-depth analysis of the current production and export trade status of Vietnam's rubber industry, we examined its trade export competitiveness using three key indicators:international market share, trade competitiveness, and revealed comparative advantage.Additionally, Michael Porter's Diamond Model is employed to analyze the factors influencing the competitiveness of Vietnam's rubber industry, including production factors, demand conditions, related and supporting industries, as well as industry strategy, structure, and the role of government. We proposed measures to enhance Vietnam's rubber export competitiveness, by increasing the supply of human resources, developing primary processing technologies for natural rubber, expanding the area of plantations certified by the FSC, and formulating reasonable tax policies.
