Sustainable Forestry Development by Using Principal Component Analysis Method——Taking Zhejiang Province as an example

  • Forestry plays a crucial role in China's economic development and is closely linked to national construction and the ecological environment. In the context of ecological considerations, the sustainable development of forestry has emerged as a central focus of research. We used the SWOT analysis method to systematically assess the current state of sustainable forestry development in Zhejiang Province and identify the primary challenges. By using a questionnaire survey, the principal component analysis was utilized to examine the key factors significantly influencing the sustainable development of forestry in Zhejiang Province. The findings indicate that forest quality, industrial advantages, and natural resource advantages are the main factors affecting sustainable forestry development in the region, and we propose countermeasures and recommendations for implementing the concept of sustainable development, thereby providing both theoretical support and practical guidance for the sustainable development of forestry in Zhejiang Province.
