Forest Ecological Protection Policy and Optimization in Laos

  • In recent years,Laos has actively promoted China’s initiative to build a green community and the construction of the “Belt and Road”.As bilateral economic and trade cooperation between China and Laos continues to deepen in various fields,cooperation between the two sides in the environment and forestry has also increased,and various landmark projects have gradually,and the implementation has provided Laos with important opportunities.The protection of forest ecological resources and economic sustainability are still key issues of concern to the Lao government.Based on the protection process of forest ecological resources by the Lao government in recent years,this article started from three aspects:ecological,economic and social.It first comprehensively sorted out Laos’ protection policies in ecological protection,economic subsidies and social incentives,and discussed Laos’s forest ecological resources.Based on the shortcomings existing in management,and drawing on China’s successful experience in the field of ecological and environmental protection,it proposed feasible suggestions for optimizing Laos’ forest ecological protection policies.Improving the forest ecological protection policy system in Laos would help further deepen the construction of a green community between Laos and China,promote bilateral exchanges and cooperation between Laos and China in the field of ecological environment,and promote the livelihood and well-being of the people of China and Laos through ecological and environmental cooperation.
