Forest Characteristic Town:Literature Review and Case Analysis——Based on practical cases in Henan Province

Forest characteristic town is an important aspect of China’s assistance in the construction of new urbanization,and it's also a key component of continuously promoting the construction of forest cities in China. Based on a domestic perspective,this paper reviewed and commented on the research progress made in the basic connotation,construction practice and effectiveness,construction requirements,influencing factors,and countermeasures of forest characteristic towns. Taking Henan Province as a typical case,it conducted a case analysis on the construction background,necessity,specific practice,and experience inspiration of forest characteristic towns in Henan Province. The basic situation of developing forest characteristic towns in typical regions of China was elaborated,and the case study also provided experience inspiration for the construction of forest characteristic towns in other regions.
