Reconstruction,Adaptation and Production: On the Autonomous Path of Community Residents in Demolition and Resettlement——Based on the Fieldwork of Demolition and Resettlement Communities in W City,Gansu Province

  • Based on the theories of space, field and social exclusion, and based on the case analysis of demolition and resettlement communities in W City,Gansu Province, this paper explored the reasons for the implementation of resident autonomy in demolition and resettlement communities, and it constructedthe realization path of “reconstruction-adaptation-production” in view of the problems existing in the construction of residents’ autonomy mechanism. The results showed that:(1)it’s necessary to promote the integration of landless farmers into urban life through site reconstruction, and promote the integration of demolition and resettlement communities with the surrounding environment;(2)community autonomous organizations should strengthen the compatibility of responsibilities and rights, and establish a coordination mechanism between organizations;(3)the interaction between the above two aspects would jointly promote the improvement of community space production capacity and realize the independent development, innovation and creation of the community. Therefore,it proposed countermeasures and suggestions for the establishment of an efficient self-government system for community residents.
