Research on the Production Efficiency of Forest Products in China from the Perspective of Ecological Civilization Construction——Based on the DEA Model

  • In the face of ecological problems in the rapid economic development, China's policy needs to focus on balancing the forest industry, which occupies an important position in the national economy and ecological civilization construction. In order to solve the sustainable development of China's forest industry, promote the construction of ecological environment and coordinated economic development, and accelerate the optimization and upgrading of forest industry, it has certain practical significance for the research on the production efficiency of forest products in China. Based on the perspective of ecological civilization construction, this paper used the DEA model to measure the production data of forest products in 31 provinces in China from 2013 to 2020 starting from the level of exploring the influencing factors of forest product production efficiency in China, and it comprehensively evaluated the production efficiency of forest products in China based on the indicators of ecological civilization construction. The results showed that there were large differences between provinces and regions in comprehensive efficiency, pure technical efficiency and scale efficiency, and the three indicators were all performing well in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and other places. In Inner Mongolia, Qinghai and other places, all three indicators performed poorly. Finally, according to the calculation results, it put forward effective policy suggestions for the improvement of the production efficiency of forest products in China.
