Abstract: The digital economy has become a pivotal force driving urban development.Based on a review of relevant literature on the core mechanisms of the digital economy driving high-quality urban development,the impact of urban-rural disparities,and the cultivation of new productive forces,we summarizes the practical experience of the digital economy in promoting urban development in China.It extracts key path insights such as strengthening innovation sourcing capabilities,improving platform sharing ecosystems,deepening the green integration of digital and physical realms,unlocking the value of data elements,and innovating smart governance models.Furthermore,policy recommendations are proposed in terms of focusing on core technology innovation and transformation,constructing a multi-level platform ecosystem,upgrading green intelligent infrastructure,and deepening institutional reform and innovation.The aim is to provide theoretical and practical references for Chinese cities to achieve high-quality development through the digital economy.
