Abstract: Scientific greening is the summary of China's practice of land greening for many years, and it is also the fundamental compliance of China's ecological construction in the new era. As the main battlefield for China to carry out land greening and further promote the national ecological security barrier, the implementation of the concept of scientific greening is of great significance to improve the diversity, stability and sustainability of the ecosystem in the three north region and promote the high-quality development of land greening. Taking the overall requirements of scientific greening in the new era as the main line, this paper analyzed the main problems existing in the three north shelter forest project, and it put forward suggestions from the aspects of implementing the new development concept, establishing near-natural forestry, scientifically delineating green space, using water to determine forest and grassland, and strengthening scientific and technological support, in order to provide reference for the construction of three north shelter forest project.
